The Ferrari Museum

The Ferrari Museum

The Ferrari Museum, or Ferrari Gallery, as it was called until April of 2011, is an automobile museum located about 300 metres from the Ferrari factory in Maranello, near Modena, and is devoted to the car manufacturer with the famous horse forcené logo.

The museum displays not only cars, but also awards, photographs, and other historical objects connected to the history of Italian motoring. The exhibition also presents technological innovations, many of which were a part of the transition from competition vehicles to road models.

The museum opened in February of 1990 and a new wing was added in October of 2004. Ferrari took over the management of the museum in 1995.
The museum now extends over a total of 2,500 square metres and welcomes about 180,000 visitors a year.

Most of the exhibition is a combination of Ferrari road vehicles and race cars. Many of these models have become automotive icons.
